What is a Virtual Data Center?
A Virtual Data Center (VDC) is your private, isolated cloud environment on Cloud679. Think of it as your own dedicated section of the platform where all your virtual machines, networks, and storage live.
What You Can Do in Your VDC

VDC Types
Allocation (Fixed Resources)
A fixed quota of CPU, RAM, and storage is reserved exclusively for your VDC. You are billed at a predictable monthly rate regardless of how much you use. VMs cannot be powered on once your quota is fully used.
Best for: Production workloads, predictable costs, finance-approved budgets.
PAYG (Pay As You Go)
You are billed based on actual resource consumption. No fixed quota — scale up when you need more, scale down when you don't.
Best for: Variable workloads, development and test environments, unpredictable usage.
Navigating Your VDC
- Log into manage.cloud679.com
- Click Virtual Data Centers in the left menu
- Click on your VDC name
- You will see tabs for: Virtual Machines, Networks, Backups, and Usage
Checking Your Resource Usage
Click the Usage tab inside your VDC to see how much CPU, RAM, and storage you are currently consuming against your quota.
